103rd TASTEVINAGE session

On Friday 22nd of March 2019, some 250 wine experts under the Chairmanship of  Eric GOETTELMANN, Executive Head Sommelier of the Bernard Loiseau Group and recently named Meilleur Ouvrier de France, will gather at the Château du Clos de Vougeot for the 103rd TASTEVINAGE wine-tasting.

"Saint-Vincent s'affiche" and "Pinot & compagnie" exhibitions

With the next Saint-vincent Tournante wine festival fast approaching, the exhibition of festival posters “Saint-Vincent s’affiche” returns to the Château du Clos de Vougeot for a third time. To complement this retrospective, the Château is also mounting a parallel exhibition: Pinot et Compagnie – la diversité des cépages en Bourgogne (Pinot and Co. – the wide range of grape varieties grown in Burgundy). We have all heard of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and perhaps even Aligoté, but how well do you know Burgundy’s other varietals? The exhibition is open from January 11th to March 31st at the Château du Clos de Vougeot.

AN EXHIBITION AT THE CHATEAU DU CLOS DE VOUGEOT TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENARY OF THE 1914-18 WAR
AN EXHIBITION AT THE CHATEAU DU CLOS DE VOUGEOT TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENARY OF THE 1914-18 WAR

To commemorate the centenary of the Great War, the Château du Clos de Vougeot presents for the first time the thematic exhibition “LE PINARD DES POILUS – quand  Madelon chantait!”, opening on Saturday the 15th of September. Organised in partnership with Christophe Lucand, author of the book Le Pinard des Poilus, and in collaboration with the UNESCO chair of Wine Culture and Traditions, the exhibition is a tribute to the French soldier and the wine that sustained him in the trenches.

Ever since its creation in 1934, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin has set itself the task of promoting Burgundy, notably its wines and cuisine, preserving and reviving its traditional festivals, folklore and customs, and encouraging the development of tourism in the region.

The Order has some 12,000 knights or Chevaliers world wide and is devoted to defending Burgundy and burgundy – the region and the wine – in grand style

An active participant in important events that take place in the region, the Conférie was instrumental in establishing the Saint-Vincent Tournante, the Tastevinage and in the restoration of the Château du Clos de Vougeot.
