Saint-Vincent 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin

Gevrey 2020- Alicia Prenot

The day after the celebrations marking the75th Saint-Vincent Tournante ended in Vezelay in the Yonne, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin announced that the 76th edition will take place in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte d’Or on the 25th and 26th of January 2020.

Already hosted by Gevrey-Chambertin in 1947, 1960, 1980 and most recently in 2000, Burgundy’s itinerant annual wine festival will be celebrated once again in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, as a mark of honour to the climats of the Burgundy winegrowing region.

GEVEREY-CHAMBERTIN – A VILLAGE DEDICATED TO WINEGROWING
Located in the Côte de Nuits, at the foot of the Combe Lavaux nature reserve, the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the Côte d’Or’s most prestigious wine producers. Vines have been cultivated in Gevrey-Chambertin since the early 2ndcentury. In 1936, Gevrey-Chambertin became an Appellation d’Origine Controlée , an AOC that includes the production of the neighbouring commune Brochon.
