des vins de Bourgogne Tastevinés  The results of the Tastevinage are registered in the 'Armorial des vins de Bourgogne tastevinés'. They also may be consulted on this site. The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin remains foreign to any commercial transaction involving the wines that have been through the Tastevinage. Each batch remains the exclusive property of the growers or merchants who have produced them. The latter are free to price them as they see fit, and to sell them to their regular customers, to the members of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and to wine-lovers in general. A
constant search for quality Now that this stamp is known by lovers of Burgundy in France and throughout the world, a bottle with the special numbered label and carrying the Tastevinage seal is treated with utmost respect. It is therefore normal that more and more wine merchants and producers want their wines to carry this distinction. They know that due to a constant search for quality, the reputation of winegrowers and Burgundy is confirmed. It goes without saying that apart from Tasteviné wines there are many other Burgundy wines which have not been tested and which nevertheless have great value but one thing is certain: a wine not fulfilling the Tastevinage criteria will never be accepted. |
